Students will learn about the science and math of photography including metering for proper exposure, depth-of-field, white balance, shutter speed, and ISO. From there, they will start developing an understanding of composition using the elements of art and the principles of design. By the end of the week students will be able to manually meter their camera for a proper exposure, change WB, ISO, depth-of-field, and shutter speeds for each situation they are photographing. Students will be able to rethink their composition using the elements of art and design.

NEEDED MATERIALS: Students will need to bring DSLR digital camera and lens, charged batteries and memory card. Students will also need to bring a notebook and pen for taking notes.  Students should also be prepared to do some outside photography shoots at TCC's Northeast Campus.
